Giacomo Casaioli from the small village of Fontignano has been producing wines within the Trasimeno wine region for several years. With this Sangiovese and Merlot cuvée, he brings to market a red wine crafted from a combination of two grape varieties: Merlot and Sangiovese.
With an intense ruby red color and notes of violets, cherries, and plums on the nose, and pleasant, smooth tannins with a slightly creamy palate, this wine is perfectly suited for beef, veal, poultry, and various pasta dishes. It also pairs well with salami and many hard cheeses.
