Giacomo Casaioli, from the small place of Fontignano, has for several years produced wines that fall under the Trasimeno wine region. With this cuvée of Sangiovese and Merlot, he markets a red wine made from a combination of 2 grape varieties: Merlot and Sangiovese.
With an intense ruby-red colour and notes of violets, cherries and plums on the nose, and pleasant tannins on the palate, soft with a slightly creamy flavour, this wine is very suitable with dishes of beef, veal, poultry and various pasta dishes. But also with salami and many harder cheeses.
