The Castello di Montegiove wine MI.MO.SO. bears the name of the Misciattelli Mocenigo Soranzo marquises, who since 1780 have been very passionate makers of very special wines, produced with great respect for tradition and the land. This beautiful cuvée of Sangiovese, Merlot and Montepulciano grapes has undergone at least 12 months of ageing in Slovenian and French oak tonneaux. The wine is then aged for a further 24 months in the bottle after filling before being marketed. Bottling takes place in the cellars of the castle, all under the estate’s own management!
This wine is very complex, with aromas of berries and a deep-red colour, a round flavour and pleasant aromas and notes of blackcurrant and dark red fruits with clearly recognisable minerality. This wine is suitable for cellaring over a longer period. It pairs very well with rich pasta dishes, game dishes and grilled meat, but is also very suitable as an aperitif wine. A wine that delights with sensations of roses and black cherries and a hint of mint. On the palate it is full of long-lasting flavour, yet elegant, with a distinct background of fruit.
