Le Rive Malanotte del Piave DOCG
This red wine from Le Rive is the estate’s top wine! Made from 100% Raboso, the special grape variety of this area. The name comes from a very old neighbouring village, not far from the estate. This wine is the sophisticated version of the Abramo and has a larger proportion of grapes that have been dried for a longer time on racks.
The harvest takes place only at the end of October and part of the grapes are air-dried in order to produce a better and more special wine. The final ageing takes place over 3 years in 5 hL oak barrels. Then a further ageing of at least 6 months in the bottle.
The Malanotte has a deep-red colour with notes of cherries, plums and black berries and has powerful herbs on the palate. This wine pairs excellently with red meat, game dishes and mature cheeses. But it is also very well suited as an aperitif. Drink this wine at 12 to 15 degrees and open it at least 1 hour before consumption.
