The Vitalonga Elcione Rosso is a successful combination of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. The oenologist Riccardo Cotarella is responsible in the cellar for composing the individual wines, and thus also for the Elcione. A fresh bouquet of redcurrants and raspberries awaits you, surprising the palate with a light spiciness.
The Elcione gains its intense character and strikingly beautiful ruby-red colour during six months of ageing in the barrique barrel. This red wine from Umbria can be cellared at least until the year 2032. During this time its character continues to develop. The ideal drinking temperature is between 18–20 °C. Enjoy the Elcione with hearty starters such as salami and cheese specialities. It is also a very good companion to delicious meat dishes.
