Liquore Zafferano Vallenera
A very special liqueur with fresh saffron from Umbria. The province of Umbria is known for the production of saffron. There are producers of saffron in various parts of Umbria. Città della Pieve, between Orvieto and Chiusi, is probably the best-known place for production, but there are also producers of this new gold near Gubbio.
This liqueur is made with real saffron and it is well worth trying. With a lovely yellow colour in the glass and a slightly sweet aftertaste, it tastes best when served lightly chilled.
